Project: Stubbings Eco Works
We have had an energy audit conducted which included a number of recommendations of how we can be both more energy efficient and more environmentally sustainable. We’re currently exploring some of these options and in the process of setting up a working group to begin looking at how we might best undertake them and also fund them.
Our church has a small, committed congregation but many of our regulars are not able to get involved in the working group. We would love to have some people who are passionate about both the church and the environment to be a part of this project. As such, we’re looking for people who are passionate about, interested in helping with or have knowledge and experience about any of the following:
Fundraising and grant applications
Exploring energy-efficient alternatives for heating both church and centre
Working with historic buildings, balancing history and progress
Reaching out into the community to inform and involve
Talking to our congregations about environmental matters
If you think that you could help with any of those, please get in touch with either the Vicar (vicar@burchettsgreenparish.org) or the Parish Office (office@burchettsgreenparish.org) who will be happy to hear from you.
If you don’t feel like you can be involved but want to keep up-to-date with our progress, please check back here regularly or sign up to our newsletter.
