Any queries please let us know.For details of all our services and for services this month Cream Teas at Hurley every Sunday On summer Sundays cream teas are served at St Mary’s, Hurley from 3pm to 5pm. What better way of spending a Sunday afternoon than walking by the river and then enjoying homemade cakes and scones on the green outside the church (or in the Priory Room if the weather takes a turn for the worse.) Cream Teas are available every Sunday throughout the summer right up to August 22nd. Summer Garden Party Sunday 1st August 12.30pm for 1pm Pinkney's House, Pinkney's Drive. Tickets £ 17.50 from the churchwardens later in month Saturday August 21st Strawberry Cream Teas at Soltau Centre. Teas served from 2:30pm to 5pm. Monday 30th August Littlewick Green Show The Parish runs the tea tent at the Littlewick Green Show held on Bank Holiday Monday. We need cakes and scones: the more we have to sell the greater the contribution to our funds. We also need help on the day to man the stall and also some assistance on Sunday afternoon to set up. To volunteer please contact Kate Rowland on 01628-825608 Regular events and activities WELCOMING NEWCOMERS - We have a very comprehensive and informative Welcome Pack available for all newcomers to the Parish. If you have new or new-ish neighbours or know of someone moving into your area, please take a Welcome Pack from the back of church. Welcome Packs can be obtained through Roger Strike 01628 62898 ![]() YOUNG AT HEART - On alternate Wednesdays there is the opportunity for pensioners to share Holy Communion in Stubbings Church followed by a hot lunch in the Soltau Centre. This is a well attended group who share fellowship and friendship and enjoy a meal together. Please contact Margaret Burton for more information on 01628 633742. TIME OUT - Provides an opportunity each Thursday at 7:45pm in Soltau Centre to explore spiritual and faith matters together in a jargon free, non-judgemental, friendly and supportitive environment more.. PEBBLES - Is a service for toddlers and parents meeting on Tuesday mornings in The Soltau Centre at 10am and now at 10.30am on Thursdays in the Priory Room at Hurley. To pray together and listen to a bible story written for toddlers usually read by one of the Mums followed by some action songs and prayer. HEALING MINISTRY - A service is held in Hurley Church on a monthly basis to provide the space for quiet reflection within the context of Holy Communion and the laying on of hands with prayers for healing more.. PASTORAL CARE - We have a team of pastoral visitors who have been commissioned to visit and offer spiritual support and friendship to people in the parish who have been ill or lonely, recovering from surgery, bereaved or facing difficulty. . This is organised through our Pastoral Care Co-ordinator Fiona Fieldhouse. Please contact Fiona on 01628 824574 for details. PARISH WALKS - Walks are held to bring Parishioners closer together. Walks are held monthly, during the evening in summer and on Saturday mornings in the winter. GROUP - A group of parishioners who meet at the Soltau
Centre on 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 2 - 4pm. Making
blankets and jumpers for the charity 'Feed the Children', plus
articles to sell raising funds for the Parish. If you can knit,
sew, crochet, etc., and would like to join us, please come along.

progress.GARDENING GROUPS - "The Stubbings Gnomes" meet most Tuesday mornings to undertake a variety of tasks to keep the Stubbings Churchyard tidy and attractive. The Hurley Churchyard is kept in order by volunteers who meet on the first Saturday of the month. If you can spare a few hours you would be most welcome. They would also be very grateful for any surplus gardening equipment that you may have sitting around in your shed. FLOWER ARRANGERS - They give their time very generously to making the churches look beautiful particularly at festival times.
