A
Service of Healing
Is
a service of quiet reflection in the context of Holy Communion.
Prayers for healing with the laying on of hands are offered for those
who wish to receive this.
There are times in our lives when we
feel the need for forgiveness, or support in times of illness,
bereavement, matters which affect our families and friends etc.
Such times can leave us with a sense of helplessness, and so to be able
to bring this before God can release us from that burden. At
other times we come to offer thankfulness and to be close to God.
However we feel, God will meet our need. In the Sacrament of Holy
Communion we receive spiritual food for our faith journey and strength
to face whatever lies ahead.
We often have some suitably
reflective music and a ‘thought for the evening’ based on the
lectionary readings for the day. If you have not tried this service and
feel that it might be one you might like to try, then do come
along. Just come as you are and spend some quiet time with
God.
